A warm welcome in a beautiful spot with well
appointed rooms in North Buckinghamshire
Hedges House is a converted barn that has been in Helen’s family since 1886.
The building project started in 2013 and there was a specific brief that the spare rooms have their own bathrooms, a place for breakfast, a separate entrance and space to sit inside and out. We have worked hard to create a comfortable and practical place to stay, with underfloor heated oak and stone floors, shower rooms with heated towel rails and courtesy lighting and a space where you can make a cup of coffee or grab a chilled glass of wine, sit down and use the wi-fi to catch up on e.mails or just relax in our much-loved part of the countryside.
We appreciate that there are lots of different places to stay, our aim here is to provide a warm welcome, high quality accommodation and a degree of flexibility if required –
- a breakfast bap on the go as you’re off to the motor racing at Silverstone.
- Help with arranging travel between the Church and reception venue if you’re guests at a wedding.
- a nice cup of tea and or a cold beer when you check in after a long day at work.
You've got your own front door and and it’s your home from home.
The panelled room
A fresh and uplifting room
This bedroom has an oak floor and panelling detailing on one wall interspersed with a little of the original brickwork. The colour scheme is zingy and bright and based around the Francis Campbell Boileau Cadell print of Iona showing the colours of the West Coast of Scotland on the wall.
The hayrack room
A warm and cosy room
The main feature of this room is the old oak hayrack which was originally situated in another part of the barn. Once it was cleaned up we felt it made an interesting headboard and the muted pinks in the
decor and the warmth of the wood give a snug feel
to the room.
